Jewelry made with horse hair

by DePaolo Equine Concepts

We were recently discovered by Mick Shpangle who was intrigued with our Horse Hair Analysis.  Although Mick is not a horseman in the traditional sense, he has created a unique way to make jewelry (or jewellry as they spell it in the  UK) by using resin and genuine horse hair.

Shpangle’s horse hair pendants take between five and seven days to complete. The pendant is built up in four layers by individually placing each hair strand in several layers of resin.  The resin can be dyed a particular color and other items such as seed beads or glitter can also be added to the design.

To learn more about Shpangle’s “Lock of Hair” jewelry, we invite you to view his website.  He has very unique and creative designs.
