Olympics Recap

Even though the Olympics are over there are a few statics that might surprise you…

The oldest horse in the Olympics – 18 (Pluto Mio)

The youngest horse in the Olympics – 8 (Aspe)

Number of mares – 14

Number of geldings – 47

Number of stallions – 4

Age of oldest rider – 60 (Mark Todd)

Age of youngest rider – 23 (Elmo Jankari)

Number of registered thoroughbreds – 2

Number of horses that also competed in the 2012 Olympics – 5

And finally…Congratulations to the French Equestrian Team!  It is first time since 2004 that France took home the gold!
