Take a break from the horse show in Tulsa

by DePaolo Equine Concepts

Dr. Mark is currently at US National Arabian Horse Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  This is one of his busiest horse shows of the year.  Even though Dr. Mark doesn’t have too much down time if you are in Tulsa and need a break from the show maybe you should try some of the non-horse activities the city has to offer.

Tulsa Zoo & Living Museum:

Learn about animals from all parts of the world at this third largest zoo in the U.S. by exploring various habitats including “Cheek-to-Cheek with Chimpanzees,” “Siamang Island,” “Elephant Encounter” and “African Savanna.”

Spa Lux:

Tulsa may not be on the travelers’ lists as a spa or resort destination but you can enjoy a bit of R&R after a long week of riding.

Tulsa Air Museum and Planetarium:

Tulsa’s rich aviation history is traced through such exciting exhibits as the F14 Tomcat, Shuttle Launch, Wind Tunnel and Flight Simulation Lab.

Osage Casino:

If you aren’t having luck at the show, try your luck somewhere else!  Osage Casino is the closest gaming facility to Downtown Tulsa. The Casino is open 24/7 and offers guests more than 1,000 state-of-the-art Electronic Games, 11 Table Games, an 8-table Poker Room, Players Club, a grill and an entertainment lounge with a bar.
